Red Dot Project Conference: Beginning the Conversation

Description: Red Dot Project consists of a group of four people that have a common passion - gender equality. While working together on completing an online training, on best practices while working in VAW (violence against women) shelters. Last month, the organization hosted a conference in order to help eradicate the existing stigmas surrounding menstruation, bring attention to the increasing levels of period poverty while simultaneously discussing how these intersect with the homelessness crisis that exists in the City of Toronto. The event was hosted at and supported by Seneca College here in North York and provided an opportunity for leaders and frontline workers in our city to gather and begin the necessary steps to help catapult change in the fight to eliminate the stigmas of menstruation. www.reddotprojecttoronto.org/
